Policies

The following policies have been passed by the Board, President's Council, or the Associate Vice President Information Technology Services Division of Thompson Rivers University and apply to all staff, faculty, students, and third parties who access University information.

Information Security Policy

A board policy providing Information Security Program governance.

Responsible Use of Information Technology Facilities and Services 

A board policy providing guidance for the use of information technologies and services.

Confidentiality of Student Information

An administrative policy providing guidance for the treatment of student information.

Information Disclosure

An administrative policy governing disclosure of financial and staff information.

Records Retention/Destruction

An administrative policy governing retention and destruction schedules for paper documents.

Head, Freedom of Information and Protection of Privacy

An administrative policy by which the board appoints the University's President as head of Thompson Rivers University for the purposes of the the provincial Freedom of Information and Protection of Privacy Act.

Conflict of Interest

An administrative policy which among other issues addresses confidential information and its use.

ITS Change Management

An Information Technology Services Divisional policy governing change management processes within the ITS department.
