Overview
Microsoft Teams is available for TRU-managed devices, personal computers, and mobile devices. Follow the instructions below to install Teams on your device.
Mobile Devices (iOS and Android)
For iPads, tablets, and smartphones, download the Microsoft Teams app from your device’s app store:
After installation, log in with your TRU credentials and complete Multi-Factor Authentication (MFA) if prompted.
Sign-In & Multi-Factor Authentication (MFA)
Once installed, sign in using your TRU credentials.
- Login format for Students: TRU ID number followed by @mytru.ca (e.g., T00123456@mytru.ca)
- Login format for Employees: username followed by @tru.ca (e.g., Jane Smith will be jsmith@tru.ca).

If you don't know your password, you can reset it at https://myid.tru.ca.
Chromebooks & Linux Devices
TRU does not officially support Chromebooks or Linux for Microsoft Teams, however, users may be able to access it through the Web Version (Recommended).
