Generic Login Account - Remove from Work/School Account


If you're having trouble with a shared "generic" account that keeps showing up when you try to use Microsoft services like SharePoint or Teams, here’s how to stop this from happening:

  1. Go to Your Account Settings:

    • Click on the Start Menu,
    • Search "Settings",
    • Click on "Accounts."
  2. Find the Shared Account:

    • In the Accounts section, look for "Access work or school" on the left side and click it.
  3. Remove the Account:

    • Find the shared account in the list.
    • Click on it and then choose "Disconnect."
