Room PC
Operating Instructions
- Power On – Press the power button.
- Log in - Using your TRU Email address and Network Password
Troubleshooting
- Power On – Press the power button.
- Check Connections – Ensure all cables are securely plugged into the back of the computer (excluding Laptop HDMI).
- Restart the PC – Windows Start Menu > Power > Restart.
- If restart fails, hold the power button until the light turns off, wait 5 seconds, then press it again.
Smart Monitor
Operating Instructions
- Turn On – Press the power button.
- Writing/Drawing:
- Use the cordless pen (no battery) to write on the screen
- Change ink colors using side buttons (Black, Red, Blue)
- Erasing:
- Use the eraser end of the pen
- Customize pen buttons:
- Open SMART Settings → Hardware Settings → Pen and Button Settings
- Assign actions like erase, next page, screen capture, etc.
Troubleshooting
- Turn On – Press the power button.
- Check Connections – Ensure all cables are securely plugged into the back of the monitor (excluding Laptop HDMI).
- Set Display Mode – Ensure the monitor is set to Auto Detect in display settings.
- Restart the PC – Windows Start Menu > Power > Restart.
- If restart fails, hold the power button until the light turns off, wait 5 seconds, then press it again.
Main Projector
Operating Instructions
- Power On – Press Projector On on the Touch Panel.
- Select Source:
- For Room PC, press Room PC on the Touch Panel.
- For Personal Laptop, press Laptop HDMI on the Touch Panel.
- For Document Camera, press Document Camera on the Touch Panel
Troubleshooting
- Power On – Press Projector On on the Touch Panel.
- Disable Mute – Turn Picture Mute off on the Touch Panel.
- Select Source:
- For Room PC, press Room PC on the Touch Panel.
- For Personal Laptop, press Laptop HDMI on the Touch Panel.
- For Document Camera, press Document Camera on the Touch Panel
- Adjust Display – Settings > Display > Under the Detected Displays, Change to Duplicate These Displays > Keep Changes
- Restart Projector – Press Projector Off, wait 10 seconds, then press Projector On.
- Restart the PC – Windows Start Menu > Power > Restart.
- If restart fails, hold the power button until the light turns off, wait 5 seconds, then press it again.
Smart Board Projector
Operating Instructions
- Power On – Press Projector On on the Touch Panel.
- Select Source:
- For Room PC, press Room PC on the Touch Panel.
- For Personal Laptop, press Laptop HDMI on the Touch Panel.

Smart Board
Operating Instructions
- Power on the projector and computer
- Use your finger or pen to open programs, write, or interact like a mouse.
- Pick up a pen from the tray and press a color button to write in that color.
- Use the tray buttons for:
- Right-click
- On-screen keyboard
- Orient function
- Use SMART Ink toolbar to change pen settings or capture screenshots.
- Gestures
- Tap = click
- Double tap = double-click
- Tap and hold = right-click
- Two-finger pinch = zoom in/out
- Two-finger rotate = rotate object
- Swipe = scroll
Troubleshooting
- Open Smart Ink Program
- Restart the PC – Windows Start Menu > Power > Restart.
- If restart fails, hold the power button until the light turns off, wait 5 seconds, then press it again.
Touch Panel
Operating Instructions
- Press the display power button
- Select the source you would like to display
- Other Options:
- Picture Mute – Stops displaying the screen
- Volume – Control volume level
Room Audio
Operating Instructions
- Adjust Volume – Turn up the sound on the Touch Panel and Room PC.
Troubleshooting
- Adjust Volume – Turn up the sound on the Touch Panel and Room PC.
- Disable Mute – Turn Audio Mute off on the Touch Panel and Room PC.
- Check Output – In Settings > Sound, set the output device to the designated Room Audio Device.
- Check Cable – Ensure the audio cable is securely plugged into the back of the Room PC.
- Restart the PC – Windows Start Menu > Power > Restart.
- If restart fails, hold the power button until the light turns off, wait 5 seconds, then press it again.
Webcam
Operating Instructions
- Begin Meeting – Open the video conferencing software of your choice (Zoom or Teams)
- Enable Webcam in Software
Troubleshooting
- Check Connection – Plug the webcam into the back of the Room PC.
- Verify Detection – In Settings > Bluetooth & Devices > Devices, confirm the webcam is detected.
- Select in Software – Ensure the webcam is chosen as the camera in your conferencing application.
- Restart the PC – Windows Start Menu > Power > Restart.
- If restart fails, hold the power button until the light turns off, wait 5 seconds, then press it again.
Document Camera
Operating Instructions
- Turn on – Press and hold [Power] until green LED appears.
- Turn off –: Hold [Power] for 3 seconds.
- Zoom – Use control panel or remote.
- Auto-Focus – Press [AF] to adjust focus.
- Light – Toggle LED overhead light with [Lamp].
Troubleshooting
- Restart Document Camera – Press and hold the power button for 3 seconds, press the power button again.
- Select Source – press Document Camera on the Touch Panel
- Check Connections – Ensure all cables are securely plugged into the back of the device (excluding Laptop HDMI).
