Restoring Files or Folders on H:\ or O:\

Restoring Files on Network Shares - Windows PCs Only
 

  1. Locate the Folder on the TRU Network Share containing the Item to Restore in the File Explorer


     
  2. Right Click on the Parent Folder that contains the missing item or the item to restore and click on Restore previous versions in the context menu


     
  3. Locate a previous version of the folder to restore from and click Open, you may have to look back a few hours, depending on the nature of the request and the time frame in question




     
  4. Locate the file or folders in the previous version that you wish to restore, and then you can copy/paste these items to the Current Version of the folder. It is recommended to simply copy/paste or drag & drop the file(s) or folder(s) to the desktop before moving them to the intended final destination


     
  5. Close any open previous windows and ensure that the restored file(s) or folder(s) are returned to a network share drive
     
  6. If you cannot locate a version of the file that is requested by the user, you may submit a ticket for File Restore to restore from the deep backup copies. Please be as explicit as possible regarding file paths and file names.
