Sunsetting of AppsAnywhere

Effective April 30, 2025, TRU will discontinue the AppsAnywhere platform.

AppsAnywhere (apps.tru.ca) has been a portal used to deliver academic software to students, faculty, and staff. As of April 30, 2025, this platform will no longer be available.

Please ensure that you and your students have made alternate arrangements for software access prior to this date.

What’s Changing

• AppsAnywhere access ends April 30, 2025

• The platform will be permanently shut down

• Software previously available through AppsAnywhere will need to be accessed through alternate methods

What You Need to Do

If you rely on AppsAnywhere to access software:

Students

• Visit Student Lab Software to check what is available on campus computers.

• Use Student Remote Access to connect to lab software from off-campus.

Faculty and Staff

• Visit Student Lab Software to check what is available on campus computers.

• If your course or department requires specific software in a lab, submit a request via Software Installation for Labs.

• To book a classroom or computer lab with technical support, visit Classroom/Lab Support.
